She unknowingly
dove into the field of web design in 1998 when part of her group
project was to create a website on author James Joyce for her Sophomore
English class. Since then, her interest in web site design grew.
She later took web design classes in her Senior year of high school.
During this time she had also received her first client, a Polynesian
dance school known as Kalena's
Polynesian 'Ohana. Even then she still had no interest in going
into the web design field until she was shown its possibilities
by IADT representatives during her Senior year. Living her last
moments of high school and after months of uneasy decision making,
she threw away her plan of becoming an accountant, something that
she is good at, in order to become a web designer, which is something
that she enjoys doing.
Now, she is
currently the web master for Kalena's
Polynesian 'Ohana and its web site has grown to be one of the
most visited Polynesian web sites in the state of Florida.
