Modern Interface
Comments:

This interface was inspired by something I saw recently on the Internet. The designer strayed away from the traditional thought of repetition by having text links in varying sizes. I grew upon the idea by keeping the links in one area (instead of all over the page) and I made the overall look of the links a bit less overwhelming by having a sans-serif, blocky text.

The centered model in black could be of any person in any clothing. At first, the entire figure was going to be blacked out, but then I thought that it may have been too simple. Then, I was just going to show the mother-of-pearl shell located in her head piece, but I thought it doesn't look right without the rest of her costume. So, I decided to show her entire costume and just blacked out her body. After that, instead of using my default color of red as the overstate color of the links, I made it yellow to to follow the color scheme. In the end it looks like the piece was inspired by the i-pod advertisements, but I am still very happy at the way it turned out. It combines the traditional features of a cultual Tahiti with a simplistic, modern look.
