Kalena's Polynesian 'Ohana - (current interface)
Comments:

On the previous interface, I created a curved bottom for a more dynamic look. I mentioned that I strayed away from a flat-bottomed interface in fears that the design would be too top heavy. The main "problem" that I have noticed was that the additional graphics on the bottom added to the loading time--which in my field is not good. So, what I did was incorporate a photo on the left to sort of "balance the weight" and added a thick line on the bottom to balance out the top. Also, the close up photos give the viewer a look at our students (not models) and it adds more of a Polynesian feel.

In my previous design I had the links at the right. I changed it back to the left because I think the viewer is normally used to having links on that side...so I placed them back for a more user friendly design. If you want to see the complete version, go to http://www.kpohana.com.

I have made numerous--and I do mean numerous--designs for this company...mainly because my parents are the owners of this group. They have allowed me to use their company as my "lab rat" and I am very thankful that they did that. This is about my tenth version of Kpohana.com.
